News: Growing in Spain and New Hires

Lyzer is a Portuguese logistics-as-a-service (LaaS) platform that has revolutionized the operational and technological landscape of retail and e-commerce. Now, it intends to grow in the Spanish market by 2025. 

The hiring of a country manager and a head of growth to accompany the process in the country have made headlines in the media – and so has the plan to open a base in Madrid later this year.

Jornal Económico

“Expanding to Spain is a natural step on our path to growth,” explains Nuno Serradas Duarte, co-founder and CEO of Lyzer.

“Our vision is to give companies the flexibility and efficiency they need to grow in a scalable way”, he said, quoted by Inês Pinto Miguel of “Jornal Económico”. “We are prepared to respond to the needs of the neighboring market and provide an integrated and effective solution, just as we do in Portugal.”

The newspaper highlights the growth of the company, which currently has 59 employees and more than 300 service providers nationwide, and the goal of hiring 10 more professionals in Spain - including a head of operations - by the end of this year.

Grande Consumo

Bárbara Sousa of “Grande Consumo” magazine also reports on Lyzer's expansion and mentions the Rising Up Program as key to catalyzing its entry into the Spanish market. This initiative by ICEX (the agency responsible for promoting foreign investment in Spain) “has offered strategic support to international start-ups, facilitating access to contact networks, funding opportunities and local partnerships”. 

Also highlighted at “Grande Consumo” is Lyzer's “launch of new tools and increased use of artificial intelligence”, which will offer even more competitive advantages to companies using the platform.

HiperSuper

“HiperSuper” magazine, which also mentions the platform's expansion into the Iberian market, specifies that the hiring of a Head of Operations will be focused on the south and north of Spain. 

“Lyzer wants to boost efficiency and scalable growth of retail and e-commerce companies by integrating different components of business operations into a single platform and offering solutions that allow companies to expand without compromising operational excellence, thus guaranteeing a high-quality service and greater agility,” concludes the magazine specializing in the distribution market.

Lyzer's commitment to logistics innovation is the focus of “Empreededor”. In addition to the hirings in March and the entry into the Spanish market, the newspaper emphasizes that Lyzer's growth strategy and commitment to innovation make it a “benchmark in the Iberian logistics sector, providing solutions that accelerate the growth of retail and e-commerce”.

Lyzer's growth was also featured in BusinessIT. The “launch of new tools” and the increased “use of artificial intelligence on the platform” caught the attention of journalist Mafalda Freire, who highlights the words of the CEO and co-founder of the Portuguese start-up: “We believe that continuous innovation will be the key to our success in Spain”.

PME Magazine

Last but not least, PME Magazine published a story signed by Constança Ladeiro about the Iberian expansion. 

It details the hiring of 10 new workers, including the Country Manager, one Head of Growth, and one Head of Operations for south and north of Spain.

Explaining that “the company currently has 59 employees and a network of more than 300 service providers nationwide”, the magazine says that the platform “not only simplifies the order management process, but also transforms retailers' operations”.
